Rick is a real person who actually committed suicide in the presence of Mr. Booth and Mr. Booth’s best friend, Rick’s lover. The circumstances and story line reflect true instances in the lives that touched Rick at the time of his death. The Names has been changed to preserve anonymity. Jo is a black transgender female, (male to female) living in the south Bronx. She’s madly in love with and taking care of Rick, a drug addicts alcoholic ex-con and straight. Jo’s world begins to crumble when Rick’s long lost son unexpectedly pops up on her doorsteps. She has to make drastic decisions, stay in her fantasy of taking care of Rick in the hopes that he’ll fall in love with her or throw him out into the street and get on with her life.

However, Rick has a best friend, Leroy, who despises Jo and wants her dead. He manipulates Rick into doing the opposite of what Jo wants him to do. Now, that Rick’s son is in town, inflicting havoc in Rick’s life, it is now Leroy’s opportunity to end Jo’s life by the hands of Rick.
